Deep Thoughts – “A New Journey”

02/21/2023

Change. A topic both terrifying and exciting at the same time. A topic full of both heaviness and lightheartedness. The irony can seem intense, yet it is also a door of possibilities. Where will it pull us? What if it’s different from our expectations? What if we make a wrong turn? Now, if we’re truly drawn somewhere surely there’s a reason. We may not understand right away, but that doesn’t necessarily make it “wrong”. Though, what is “wrong”? What is “right”? Although we too, are still learning, here in the forest, we feel sometimes one’s perspective can have a big impact there. Change, although something many of us need in one form or another, is not necessarily comfortable. Those unexpected twists and turns can really throw us in a loop sometimes. If we’re going to be thrown off our expected path, why change? What if we get lost? What if we run into a cliff? How do we get through it? What if we fall? Falling is frightening! We can’t see the bottom! Where are we going! What if it hurts! We don’t like pain! Now what?! Deep breaths, take some deep breaths. Before we get too caught up in the fall here, let us inquire this: What happens if we stay the same? Sure, it’s familiar, but can we really laugh from our truest of hearts? Can we fully accept the state of our lives? What about our surroundings? Ourselves? We don’t know about you all, but here in the forest we’ve been walking in circles for too long. We lived as our incomplete selves for most of our lives. We did it so long we hardly know fully who we truly are. It hurts! Still, we’ve done it long enough, surely we can still bear with it, right? No! It hurts! We don’t want to live like this anymore! We’re tired. Still, change is scary. We don’t know anything on this new path. If we find the half of ourselves that had been sealed away, we don’t know them either. They’re us too yet, they feel so distant. Can we really let them out after all these years? Is it okay to become “complete”? We may be timid, but we also know it’s time to walk onward. One step at a time, it’ll be okay! It’s time to expand our forest, and make room for our new growth. If we’re tired of how things are, then surely staying the same won’t help us. Even if we make “mistakes” we can learn from them. Even if it hurts, we can overcome it. Even if things don’t follow our expected path, we can grow from our journey. A journey. Isn’t that what life is? Still, what happens when we reach our destination? Simple, a new journey begins. Until we take the leap our heart yearns for, we won’t know where it leads. Instead of asking things like: “What if something goes wrong?” or “What if it we get lost?”, instead ask this: What if we find all we dreamt of? What if we can overcome our pains? What if we can sing our truths? What if it inspires good? What if we keep trying? What if we find a new possibility? What if it’s beautiful? Here in the forest we’ve experienced both dark, light and everything in-between. We’ve walked loops, climbed mountains, crossed rivers, and so much more. Now, we prepare for a new venture. The winds are calling us. It’s time to take the leap. Here we go!!!

To all who joined us here as we begin this venture, we applaud you. It may not be easy taking such leaps, alas, here we are! Much like you took the time to walk alongside us, we too, shall stand by you. No matter what story you may be living, no matter the storm you may be facing, know this: We stand with you. Although our paths may split in one way or another, in heart we’re connected. Much love to all, and may we all find our truths throughout! Like a pure moon glistening across the forest meadow, may all find peace, unconditional love, and hope abundant! We believe in you!!!
